Alabama State University

In addition to the B.S. in Computer Science, the Alabama State University Department of Mathematics and Computer Science also offers a dual degree program in Mathematics and Engineering through contractual agreements with both Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Students complete the requirements for the Bachelors of mathematics degree while attending ASU and then attend either Auburn or UAB to complete the undergraduate degree requirements for the engineering discipline of their choice.

Saturday STEM Academy

Alabama State University’s College of Science, Mathematics and Technology (CSMT) is committed to cultivating and nurturing the interest of young scholars in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Saturday STEM Academy aims to provide hands-on activities and laboratory experiences for middle and high school students in the tri-county area, challenging participants to think beyond the traditional boundaries of the classroom and to see what doors a degree in a STEM discipline can unlock.
